How Much Does it Cost?

Service Price list:

* 15 minute telephone consultation: Free

* Review of pre-appointment questionnaire: Free

* Initial Orthoptic / binocular vision assessment (45-min): £100.

*Visual Stress Assessment / Coloured Overlay Testing: £0.00- £30 (Orthoptic assessment required first*)

*This may be included in the 45 min time slot allocated for your Orthoptic assessment (time & result dependent as some visual conditions require treatment first).

* Visual processing assessment package: £240– (2.5hr initial assessment – see below for details)

* Follow-up appointments: Typically £30- £100, priced according to needs.

I offer a cost effective Visual Processing Difficulties assessment package for £240. This includes:

* 2.5 hour initial appointment, detailed report with treatment and recommendations, 1 x A4 coloured overlay if required and a follow-up appointment of up to 45 mins (after 6-8 weeks). The areas covered in this package are typically:

1- Vision, eye movements and binocular vision

2- Saccades/tracking- I specifically test the eye movements used for reading to determine their speed and accuracy

3- Visual stress and coloured overlay assessment

4- Visual perception skills – an assessment of seven individual visual perception skills including visual discrimination, memory, sequential memory, spatial relationships, form constancy, figure ground and visual closure.

Most treatments are included, e.g. exercises for convergence, accommodation, saccades/tracking, first overlay for visual stress. Occasionally, there will be a surcharge for treatments, e.g. a fresnel prism, which will be discussed and agreed with you first.

You can self-refer to this clinic- please get in touch for appointment availability or to ask any questions- I’ll be happy to help.

Email me at brighteyesorthoptist@protonmail.com for a pre-appointment questionnaire which I will ask you to return to me along with a copy of your most recent eye examination.

A deposit of £50 will secure your booking and the remaining balance will be due 1 week before the appointment date.

Please note, full payment details will be sent to you once an appointment date is agreed (BACS payment link).

If you prefer to spread the cost, please let me know and payment can be processed via an alternative payment method, e.g. Paypal (”Pay in 3”) or Square (ClearPay)

If you have been referred to me via another professional, e.g. a dyslexia assessor or occupational therapist and would like to share their report with me then you are welcome to email it to me along with your questionnaire but this is entirely optional.
