SUMMARY:Webinar - Beyond 20/20: Hidden Visual Barriers in Your Classroom
DESCRIPTION:A Free Webinar for Teachers in Cornwall \nThis FREE online event is aimed at teachers\, SENDCOs\, and teaching assistants and will provide an introduction to common visual barriers in your classroom. \nMany children pass a routine eye examination with “perfect 20/20 vision” but still struggle with visual difficulties such as blurred vision\, seeing double\, or difficulty switching focus between their book and the board. Whilst some pupils will be identified as needing glasses after their eye test at an optician’s\,  the cause of some visual difficulties may only be determined after undergoing more specialist testing. Teachers see pupils every day\, and so you are in the best position to spot hidden signs that indicate the need for further assessments- but only if you know what to look out for. \n \nDo you have a bright pupil who struggles to read\, frequently skips lines\, or loses focus during written work? Maybe they can’t complete their work on time or simply cannot remember what they have read\, no matter how much effort they put in?
